"ART-Mostra Internazionale dell'Artigianato" [International Handcrafts Trade Fair], a true Florence institution that got its start in the 1920s in the pavilions of the Parterre in Piazza della Libertà and later moved to the Fortezza da Basso. Today it is organized by Firenze Fiera and Artex with the patronage of various city institutions, the Regione Toscana in primis, to keep alive the longstanding links between the city, local artistic crafts, and the rest of the world, now with 700 exhibitors from five continents.
