Bojola

It was in the late nineteenth century, when Florence was capital of the Kingdom of Italy that Felice Bojola a native of Stresa, decided to move here in 1892 and open his workshop specializing in leather accessories: carriage bags, parasols, travel necessaries, etc. His good friend, Carlo Lorenzini (known to the world as Collodi, the author of Pinocchio) suggested that Felice purchase Palazzo Carnesecchi where Collodi lived, and in 1906 Boloja, who was becoming more and more famous for his quality wares, moved his business there. Five generations have come and gone and the Bojola family is still making sporty, soft and lightweight, items known for their unmistakable, understated elegance, even using cotton and last generation materials. The firm is also known for its "one-of-a-kind" pieces made for its most demanding customers.
