Via della Scala, 16
Founded officially in 1612 (although actually dating back to 1221 at the arrival of the Dominican friars in Florence), the Officina is one of the world's oldest pharmacies. Its halls showcase a vast range of preparations and products, including perfumes, essences, soaps, unguents, spirits, balsams, colognes, aromatic vinegars, and liqueurs, all still made in accordance with the ancient formulas. But that's not all: the beautifully frescoed rooms of the Officina are a veritable museum of original furnishings and the ancient tools of the pharmaceutical trade.

Piazza Santa Maria Novella, Italia
The early Dominican basilica was rebuilt in the Gothic-Romanesque style at the end of the end of the thirteenth century. The beautiful green and white marble facade was completed by Alberti around 1470. Inside the church there are many masterpieces such as the Trinity by Masaccio, the "crucifixes" by Giotto and Brunelleschi and in the transept, the lively Renaissance frescoes by Ghirlandaio and Filippino Lippi.

Antonio and Luigi - hence the name Liverano & Liverano. Antonio is the younger of the two. When he was a child, after school he would do whip stitching, basting ,and other little tasks for a tailor in his home town of Palagiano (Taranto). At eleven years of age he came to Florence to join his brother, Luigi, who was attending the “Università dello Stile” to become a tailor.
And that was the beginning of Liverano & Liverano, where – according to the strictest rules of the craft and using the finest quality materials – distinctive men’s suits are born. Antonio calls the look “Florentine style”. The jackets only have a single dart; the shoulders are soft and natural; the seams are all backstitched; the sleeves are straight and crease-free; and the edges are softly shaped.
A collection of hand sewn silk ties in three different styles, and custom-made shirts in the finest cottons for their elegant clientele complement the suits and jackets.
