Madova Gloves

It was in 1919 that Amedeo Donnini, who founded the firm, began making leather gloves for stores and important Florentine families; production came to standstill with the great economic crisis and the approach of World War II. Business resumed in 1945 and then, in 1954 under the name Madova – a contraction of Maria Donnini – the store that sells directly to the public was opened at Via Guicciardini 1/r. Ceaseless research creating original styles and colors has made the brand famous worldwide. One of the few shops in the world specializing in leather gloves (kidskin, merino sheep, lambskin, nubuck calf lined in cashmere, silk, wool or rabbit – or unlined) for men and women, Madova maintains the fine tradition of personal fittings.
