This museum is housed in the Casino del Cavaliere which is set on the terraced portion of the Boboli Gardens, along the old walls, that offers an extraordinary view of the Florentine countryside. Established in 1973 the museum showcases ceramics that had belonged to the Medici, Lorraine and Bourbon families, and porcelain made by the major Italian (Capodimonte and Ginori), French (Sèvres) and Viennese factories. It is indeed a rich collection of cups, tea services, plates, etc., tracing tastes over the centuries in a truly exceptional setting.
