The Scuola del Cuoio focuses on direct teaching of the ancient art of leather working. For over fifty years, this school has trained young crafters in the historical setting of the Monastery of Santa Croce. Two of the best students are selected each year for s stage with the Mastercraftsmen producing the articles which are the sold to the public. Visitors are invited to watch the creative process carried out on the work benches of the rooms built by Michelozzo in the 15th century.
