Her creations have been used as accessories even by famous costume designers from the world of television and film. The renown of her brand name "Angela Caputi Giùggiù" has by now reached international proportions.

  Santo Spirito Church
Piazza Santo Spirito, Firenze
The distinctive mixtilineal (XVIII century) façade of the church is the background to the live, picturesque piazza of the same name. The thirteenth century Augustinian church was radically remodeled by Brunelleschi. It was here, beginning in 1432 that he reached the apex of his artistic career: the large, luminous interior develops linearly in the sequence of a composition which runs from the nave to the transept without interruption. The three naves, as well as the lateral wings, are bounded by massive pietra serena columns with Corinthian capitals. The 38 niche chapels that run along the perimeter of the church are fitted mainly with altarpieces, often with their original frontals and even some statuary. Maso di Bianco painted the polyptych in Giotto’s style, Filippino Lippi painted the Virgin and Child with Saints (which is known as the Nerli altarpiece), and Andrea del Sansovino executed the altar of the Blessed Sacrament. Caccini’s early seventeenth century high altar with the marble baldachin enclosure is a controversial piece because it breaks the overall architecture purity of the interior. From the left nave we enter the sacristy by Giuliano da Sangallo. The wooden crucifix, believed to be a work of the young Michelangelo, was recently moved back here to its original site from Casa Buonarroti.

  Stefano Bemer
B.go S. Frediano, 143r
1983: Stefano Bemer, a native of Greve in Chianti, opened his first shoe-repair shop. He was motivated, enthusiastic and self-taught. Four years later, he moved to Florence and learned shoemaking with the help of a master craftsman and took a course in design and pattern-making.
Today, the Bemer name is known worldwide and it has two distinct and complementary souls. One is custom-made shoes and the other is a ready-to-wear shoe collection sold in Japan (with the opening of the first single-brand store), the United States, Russia, all of Europe and, of course, Italy. Stefano Bemer men's shoes are made of the finest skins (natural, vegetable-tanned leather) and are admired for perfect craftsmanship, excellent fit and comfort. They are made to last: indeed, they can be taken apart and reassembled 4 or 5 times), and are favorites among the jet set and many European and Italian noblemen.
